Keystone Attractions

activitiesIn the winter, the action revolves around Keystone's four world-class ski mountains -- Outback, Keystone Mountain, North Peak and Durcum Mountain -- as well as a state-of-the-art terrain park and one of Colorado's premier lighted night-skiing areas. With more than 2,000 acres of terrain and hundreds of trails, Keystone offers challenges for skiers and riders of every ability. Nestled in the center of the resort, the nation's largest groomed outdoor skating pond offers ice-skating and hockey in the winter, along with paddle boats and canoeing in the summer.

When the snow melts, the lifts keep running, providing visitors access to the same extensive trail system for hiking, mountain biking and guided nature walks. Keystone Ranch, the resort's top-rated par-72 golf course, boasts both stunning views and an award-winning design by Robert Trent Jones, Jr. The summer also offers rafting, kayaking and fishing enthusiasts numerous gold medal rivers and high-mountain lakes within easy reach of the resort.

the mountainCross-country enthusiasts can do their thing at the resort's Nordic Center, but the main attraction here is Keystone's ski area, which offers the biggest lighted terrain area for night skiing in the state. One lift ticket gives Keystone skiers access to four mountains, encompassing 2,227 acres of terrain serviced by 19 lifts. Three mountains are accessible from the Keystone Village Base area. The fourth, Arapahoe Basin, is a 10 minute shuttle ride up Loveland Pass. Keystone's North Peak boasts steep mogul covered runs, and smooth cruisers that cater to advanced skiers. The Outback features gladed tree skiing to offer the adventurous intermediate and advanced skiers powder skiing long after the main runs turn to packed powder. Snowboarders hit the slopes at Arapahoe Basin's famous Mutha Hucker terrain park, which stays open until June each year. Keystone’s skiers and snowboarders also enjoy an easy commute to three more premier ski areas, including Copper Mountain, Loveland, and Breckenridge.
