Keystone Kids Summer Activities and Events
Keystone's summers are legendary and Keystone is a mecca for kids activities and family friendly events, all set around the gorgeous Keystone Resort. Grab the little ones and the big ones too because some of these events are so fun that the adults have to play as well!
The Adventure Center is located in Lakeside Village, near the Keystone Lodge. This is the center for kids activities, including paddle boating, kayak and canoe rentals, fish feeding and bike rentals. There is also an indoor arcade and food facilities.

- Gold Panning: Tuesday, Thursday & Saturday, June 26 - September 4, 2010
Pan for gold in Keystone Lake and you may strike it rich! For kids ages 12 & younger accompanied by an adult. Check in at the Adventure Center in Lakeside Village. Reservations required. Call our concierge to book. Hours: 4 – 5:30 pm
- Beaver Prowl: Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 6pm, June 26 - August 21
Explore our beaver ponds and try to find these amazing animals at work! Our guide will teach you about the beaver’s habits and why this Colorado mammal is so important to our alpine environment. Reservations required. Minimum age 5.
River Run hosts a variety of events over the summer and has a great setup for kids and families. Enjoy the great restaurants and vendors at River Run while the kids play.
- Mini-Golf
Golfers of all ages and abilities can test their putting skills at Keystone’s mini-golf course in River Run Village.
- Energy Alley
River Run's Energy Alley offers a variety of extreme games, including a quad bungee, dance revolution game, and a life size Playstation 2.
Bike
at Keystone Mountain & get ready for exciting mountain biking action at the Keystone Bike Park. The infamous Drop Zone, rated one of the best in the country, has progressive terrain for all riders. With rock gardens, drops, and high-speed features there’s never a dull moment on your bike. There are also more than 100 miles of single track for touring. Or, for a more relaxing afternoon, take a cruiser ride or road bike along miles of paved bike path.
Keystone sits right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains. Close to the Continental Divide, Lake Dillon, The Ten Mile Range and numerous other majestic mountain peaks, the scenery is sure to take your breath away. Take a scenic ride to the top of Keystone's Dercum Mountain for photo ops, hiking, or lunch! Purchase your tickets at the summer ticket office located in the Mountain Service Center. It's back! - Snow tubing in the summer! Beginning Memorial Day Weekend tubing will be open for business. Enjoy the sunshine of spring and the snow. Spring and Summer tubing will be open weekends through June and opening Wednesdays thru Sundays on June 18.
All the below events take place at the River Run
Events Plaza. Free parking will be available at the River Run Lots, located just off Gondola Road. Dates, times, and locations are subject to change at any time. Pets are prohibited.

Tuesdays - Explore fun at the Kids’ Discovery Days. Watch a magic show, see zoo animals, or sing a-long with our musician. The entertainer changes every Tuesday so make sure to come to everyone! It’s fun, it’s free it’s Kids’ Discovery.
June 23, 2010 - July 28, 2010: 5pm
Bring the family and enjoy the festivities at Keystone. Have dinner at one of our River Run restaurants and stay for a night full of activities! Kids can bounce the night away in our bounce house, try your hand at some carnival games for silly, fun prizes or just enjoy the kids show at 5:00 and 6:00. The Kids’ entertainer changes every Wednesday so make sure to make it to every one!
July 06, 2010 - July 27, 2010: 6pm - 7pm
On Tuesday evenings in July, the Quaking Aspen Amphitheater hosts an evening of live storytelling for kids of all ages. Join us as the stories of A.A. Milne, Lewis Carroll, Roald Dahl, and more come alive. Then stick around and create your own wonderful stories to share with your families and friends. Children must be accompanied by a parent or adult. All parents are welcome to participate in the fun!

On Friday mornings at the Quaking Aspen Amphitheater, Keystone's River Run Village hosts Grimm's famous tale of Rapunzel, the beautiful maiden in the tower. When the famed Prince Charming arrives to rescue the princess in classic fable fashion, Rapunzel realizes an exciting world exists far beyond her storybook’s pages. Joining up with a pair of infamous sisters and two not-so-famous dwarves, Rapunzel rewrites her own story, breaking free from the fairytale’s conventional chains, and embarks on a musical journey of friendship, adventure, and self discovery the whole family will enjoy.
Named "Best Colorado Theatre West of Denver" by the Colorado Theatre Guild and "One of Colorado's Top Ten Theatres Outside Denver" by the Denver Post, The Lake Dillon Theatre brings you a high-quality, high-energy,high-altitude musical performance you won't want to miss.
