Keystone Attractions

winter activities keystone

Keystone offers plenty of wintertime fun for non-skiers, from snowmobiling and horse-drawn sleigh rides, to hot air ballooning and dog-sledding. But make no mistake: this is a skiing and snowboarding kind of resort. Cross-country enthusiasts can do their thing at the resort's Nordic Center, but the main attraction here is Keystone's ski area, which offers the biggest lighted terrain area for night skiing in the state. One lift ticket gives Keystone skiers access to four mountains, encompassing 2,227 acres of terrain serviced by 19 lifts. Three mountains are accessible from the River Run Village Base area. The fourth, Arapahoe Basin, is a 10 minute shuttle ride up Loveland Pass. Nearby, the White River National Forest and Arapahoe National Forest are ripe for back-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling and hut trips.
