Keystone is unique in that it offers a true "resort" experience, with the majority of properties centralized around the River Run Village base area. In Keystone you'll truly feel removed from the hustle and bustle of the normal world, relaxed in a peaceful mountain retreat. Keystone is the only resort in the area to offer night skiing, and the abundance of family-centered activities is why it has gained the reputation as an ideal family resort. The town boasts the largest, Zamboni-maintained, outdoor ice rink and has an inner-tubing hill perfect for young and old alike.

The history of silver mining during its high pitch fever traces through here. In the 1880's the area was a stagecoach route and a passage for transporting silver ore from the Montezuma mines. Today East Keystone is a serene forest setting of Colorado blue spruce, lodgepole pine and aspens. In the winter the resort shuttle provides easy access to River Run for unrivalled skiing and snowboarding, dining and nightlife. In the summer the area offers invigorating hiking and biking. Select East Keystone for a retreat with magnificent views.

Poised at the base of Dercum Mountain, this was Keystone's original base area. It is convenient to all skier services including children's ski school, children's center, retail shops, casual dining, a youth zone complete with arcade and lift ticket office. Most properties are within 2-blocks of the Argentine Lift and Peru Express providing access to the A51 Terrain Park. In the summer experience the uphill route of Jackstraw Road for the adrenaline rush of mountain biking. To the north is a pathway leading over the beauty of the Snake River's wetlands. It is a pristine habitat from which to spot waterfowl, beavers and iridescent hummingbirds in the summer. Located near Highway 6, guests have quick and easy access to the nearby town of Dillon, as well as the Keystone Ranch and River Golf Courses.

River Run Village is the heart of the ski area, a quaint, European-style village that offers all the best of the resort within one central area. The Village is alive year-round with concerts, festivals, local parades and more. Enjoy world-class shopping and dining and lively après ski events. The gondola picks up skiers and riders from the River Run Village, offering access to all three of Keystone’s legendary peaks: Dercum Mountain, North Peak and The Outback. River Run Village is the venue for endless summer concerts and festivals. The Park Lane Pavilion hosts Keystone's celebrated Summer Concert Series and a number of other popular events like the World Music Festival, Wine Jazz & Art Festival, Bluegrass and Beer Festival and the Taste of Keystone.

If you're looking for the open-ended freedom of ambling about in the woods or along winding paved paths, West Keystone offers a quiet, forested setting and a rich heritage of stories and celebrated experiences including the Nordic Center, world-class golf courses and the acclaimed dining of Keystone Ranch.

Nestled in the Tenderfoot Mountain Ridge and encircled by a bold geography of jagged mountain ranges, the area provides a perfect respite. Enjoy breathtaking views while hiking and biking along Frey Gulch Road. And at night the starry sky with its gazillion stars will astound you. Nearby Keystone Conference Center hosts some of the nation's leading organizations in their pursuit of heady topics and issues. The resort shuttle keeps all experiences within easy access including skiing, dining, golf and nightlife.

Relaxed, uncomplicated and scenic, Keystone Lake is the centerpiece of this village. Whether gliding on ice skates, paddling a canoe or dining on-the-waterfront in Edgewater Café, every vantage point satisfies. To the East is the spectacle of the Continental Divide and to the West, the Gore Range. It's easy to lapse into reverie and want to linger here.
